In one of his most ambitious works to date, Tim Silver presented an ongoing sculptural performance work named Rory, taking the form of a small boy cast from watercolour pigment. A water drip slowly released onto the sculpture triggering the process of transformation and erosion in real time over the course of the exhibition.
Alongside Rory, Silver presented Coming around again, a series of performative photographic installations, created along the Straits of Malacca, that continued to explore themes of erosion, and the passage of time for which his practice is renowned. Silver's use of objects from popular culture, cast in historic trade materials, engage viewers in a realised process of entropy and sweet decay.
