Congratulations to Janet Laurence who has won the prestigious '2013 Glover Prize for landscape painting' with her work Plants Eye View, pictured below. The decision to award Laurence the main prize was unanimous. The work celebrates the unique and unprotected Tarkine Rainforest in north west Tasmania. The judges were Frances Lindsay, curator and deputy director at the National Gallery of Victoria; Peter Hill, artist and academic; and Jasmin Stephens, independent curator.
